Terms of service

These terms apply to every order placed on this website. Please read them before you buy. By placing an order, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

This website is run by Jenny Communications Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 12548089). Our registered office is Finlake Lodge, Chudleigh, Devon, TQ13 0EH. You can contact us at sales@jennycommunications.co.uk or on 01803 341986.

2. What we sell

We sell used, refurbished, off-desk and new open box telecoms and data equipment. Each listing states the item's condition, and the photos show the actual item or items you'll receive, unless the listing says otherwise. Used and refurbished items may show light signs of previous use, which we describe where they're noticeable.

3. Compatibility, licences and programming

Please check that an item is compatible with your phone system before ordering. If you're unsure, contact us with your system details and we'll help.

Items are sold without software licences, licence keys, programming or installation, unless the listing specifically says they're included. Some phones and cards need a licence or configuration on your phone system before they work, and arranging this is the buyer's responsibility.

If an item would normally come with a part, such as an SD card or power supply, and ours doesn't, the listing will say so.

4. Orders and prices

All prices are in pounds sterling. The total you pay, including delivery, is shown at checkout before you pay. Your order is accepted when we dispatch it. If an item turns out to be unavailable or there's an obvious pricing error, we'll contact you and give you a full refund if you don't want to go ahead.

5. Delivery

Delivery charges and estimated delivery times are set out in our shipping policy. Delivery times are estimates and aren't guaranteed. International buyers are responsible for any import duties, taxes and customs charges in their country.

6. Serial numbers

We record the serial number of every item we sell, where it has one. We use these records to identify the items covered by your warranty. Warranty claims and returns are only accepted for items whose serial numbers match our records. Please don't remove or tamper with serial number labels, because this will void the warranty.

7. Returns

You can return an item within 30 days of receiving it. Returns are free for UK buyers, and international buyers pay the return postage. Items must be returned in the same condition they were sent, with all parts and accessories. Full details are in our return and refund policy.

8. 12-month warranty

Every item comes with a 12-month warranty from the date you receive it. If an item develops a fault in that time, we'll replace it, or refund you if no replacement is available. We pay the return postage on faulty items for both UK and international buyers.

The warranty doesn't cover accidental damage, liquid spills, incorrect installation or programming, misuse, modification, or items whose serial number labels have been removed or altered. If we test a returned item and find no fault, or the fault isn't covered, you'll be charged the cost of the return postage and the cost of sending the item back to you.

9. Your legal rights

If you're buying as a consumer, you have legal rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

10. Business and trade customers

If you're buying for a business, our 30-day returns and 12-month warranty still apply. We test every item before dispatch, but with used and refurbished equipment an occasional item may fail on arrival, during installation or later. If that happens, your remedy is a replacement or a refund under our warranty.

Our total liability to you for any order is limited to the price you paid for it. We aren't liable for engineer call-out charges, labour, travel or installation costs, phone system or network downtime, loss of calls, loss of profit or business, or any other indirect or consequential losses.

11. Our liability

We're responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms. We don't exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

12. Provisioning, resets and data

Before sale, all equipment is removed from provisioning and reset to factory settings where possible. Where we can't confirm that an item's MAC address has been removed from a previous provider's provisioning or redirection service, the listing says so.

If you return an item to us, please remove any personal or business data from it first.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown on this website when you placed it.

14. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
